Japhe is a village located in the south east bank from the district headquarters of Dolakha. It lies in the Janakpur zone, approx. 165 km and about 8 hours’ drive from Kathmandu.
The population of Japhe is approximately 4300 and most of these people are farmers. It has cultivated land and forests as well.
Japhe has one sub-health post where people are can be check by health assistance and there are 7 schools – one higher secondary school, two proposed secondary and 4 primary schools. Below Japhe is the Tamakoshi River, which has a huge potential for hydro power.
In such a remote a part of the nation this area has a huge amount of natural resources that are not being used due to the lack of proper education.
Our aim is to eliminate the poverty through the awareness and education of children using innovative and useful methods.
